The starling in the apple tree

Our Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union has this wonderful ongoing children's book project, where they publish a story about the "bird of the year", every year of course. I hope to illustrate one of the next ones, so I created this illustration as a test run using an already published story and experimented with a combination of water colour and pencil for a very soft and atmospheric look.
